I am a freelance photojournalist and accept a variety of assignments. Much of my work focuses on social justice and environmental issues, often on their intersection with politics and governance. However, I have completed a wide variety of assignments, from street protests, to product photography, and underwater ecosystems. My photos have appeared in The Guardian, New York Times, Washington Post, Time, Rolling Stone, and other news publications worldwide. Links to samples of my work are available here.

I shoot a wide range of activities, from public visibility events to private parties. I offer competitive hourly rates for shooting and processing, as well as a discount for long events. Please note that I do not shoot weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, or similar events.
I am a master scuba diver with extensive experience shooting underwater in challenging conditions (e.g., strong currents, poor visibility), often in remote locations, and I have spent hundreds of hours taking photos of sharks and other potentially dangerous animals. I own all necessary camera and dive/snorkel equipment to photograph anything from 3 mm nudibranchs to whales, with the usual exception of tanks and weights. Examples of my underwater work are available on the nature photography page.
I am an expert user of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom and use both programs for creative images and restoration of old photos. This includes combining images, removing unwanted objects, and panoramas. For more information on editing and restoration, please click here.
